Hello, and welcome to CuteBabyGifts.net. Before we go any further, let me introduce myself. My name is Nate, and I am a new father. My wife, Laura, gave birth to our beautiful daughter Sarah on Nov. 28^th, 2004. Today she is almost 9 months old. Nothing so far in my life had prepared me for the joys of parenthood - the bumps and bruises, the hugs and kisses, the laughter and the tears. I can honestly say that having a daughter has been the single most challenging and most rewarding chapter of my life.

My wife and I started this site in July of 2005 for two reasons: First, Laura wanted to be a stay-at-home mom, and I wanted to support her. Personally, I think that it has been fantastic for our daughter to have the constant love and support that only a mom can provide. Unfortunately, our finances depended on her income. Without some way of earning some extra money, I couldn't afford to support this scenario. When I heard about the WAHM (work-at-home mom) opportunites available on the Internet, I decided to start this site to help support us. We knew that there are many baby sites already and that it would be difficult to get started, but hopefully with a little hard work we can become a useful site to find many of the harder-to-find baby items you're looking for.

In addition to this, I also wanted a place where I could share my experiences about becoming a father for the first time. From the time I first learned that Laura was pregnant until Sarah was about 3 months old, I scoured the library, the Internet, and friend's bookshelves in search of meaningful advice for new dads. Most of the parenting books I found were either geared towards moms, or assumed you were a dull, disinterested cretin... and many times both. In short, I never found the kind of honest, down-to-earth advice for new dads of my generation that I was looking for. That's why I'm dedicating a portion of this site as a forum where I can share my own personal experiences. With any luck, I'll get this software figured out and be able to provide a place where other new moms and dads can share similar experiences.
